A °C Breeze portable smoke machine purchased before 2018 may be nearing the end of its projected life. To support your planning, Degree Controls experts will work with you as you determine how to move forward.

The newest model of the °C Breeze fog generator is more efficient with improved internal electronics, and users can adjust operational preferences with two side-mounted toggle switches. The High vs Low Flow switch sets the fog fluid consumption rate in order to maximize battery life between charges.

In low output mode the fluid consumption rate is reduced by approximately 50%, extending runtime by 30%. In high output mode the smoke machine produces the maximum fog volume possible. To facilitate user interaction, the Momentary vs Latching Fog Flow switch allows for momentary fog output or latching/continuous output until the button is pressed again.

A NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) or Pb (Lead Acid) battery can be used with the °C Breeze fogger. We
recommend the NiMH battery for its flatter discharge voltage profile, faster charging time, and higher life
cycle. The main advantages of NiMH are:

  • Flatter discharge voltage profile – 12V is available at the terminals for almost all the discharge cycle.
  • Capable of faster charging (3-4 hours).
  • Double run time – Recoverable capacity at 2.3A is more than 2500mAh. With Pb (Lead Acid), this would be less than 1500mAh.
  • Longer life – Higher cycle life of 500+ cycles typically to 100% depth of discharge, as compared with 180 cycles from lead acid.
  • Short circuit protected.
