Do you need to address hot spots in your datacenter environment?

It’s common for the IT load to be unevenly distributed in datacenter environments. Whenever there are signs of inefficient cooling or hot spots, or when you need to redistribute cool air from existing CRAC units (computer room air conditioning units) more effectively, the HotSpotr datacenter floor fan should be considered. With the HotSpotr, you can strategically direct cool air through raised floor panels. The air booster improves airflow distribution, contributes to a more uniform temperature throughout the datacenter, and cools zones of high heat.

Using a high-performance DC fan, the HotSpotr pulls air from existing cooling units to eliminate hot spots, overcoming underfloor congestion and room layout. The self-contained rack cooler is designed to be attached to underfloor stanchions, independent of the perforated raised floor tile above it, and delivers air upward to the inlet side of server racks. It sits within the footprint of a single floor tile, and installation is quick and easy. Server downtime is not required to install the HotSpotr.
Each HotSpotr datacenter floor fan can be thermostatically controlled using input from up to 2 remote temperature sensors, which you place as needed, for localized control. If you prefer the constant speed mode of operation, you may set the desired fan speed setpoint with the rotary encoder knob on the operator panel.
Adding HotSpotrs to your enterprise or colocation datacenter helps you direct cooling air to specific areas, allows you to regain cooling resources, and provides for additional server load.
