Rooster™ Pressure Monitor Provides Safety and USP Compliance Assurance

Rooster™ Pressure100 room pressure monitor, color touch panel display

The Rooster™ Pressure100 Room Pressure Monitor helps healthcare personnel meet the standards set forth in USP 797 and USP 800 for differential pressure monitoring and the review and recording of differential pressure results. Pharmacists, physicians, veterinarians, and healthcare workers find the Pressure100 easy to install and operate. For demonstrating safety and compliance assurance, Pressure100 is a straightforward retrofit to existing compounding areas and clean rooms. Note:  From the United States Pharmacopeia, USP 797 governs the sterile preparation of compounded pharmaceuticals to protect patients and pharmacists. USP 800 expands on USP 797 and provides standards for the safe handling of hazardous drugs.

The Rooster™ Pressure100 monitors and alarms on differential pressure. The glove-friendly, color touch panel display shows pressure, humidity, and temperature in real time, keeping users apprised of environmental conditions. A full screen background colorization indicates current room status. Covering both the positive and negative pressure requirements for drug preparation containment secondary engineering controls (C-SEC) outlined in USP 797 and USP 800, Pressure100 has a measurement range of -125 to +125 Pa (-0.5 to 0.5 in H2O). In addition, data and event logging capabilities allow users to identify trends, improve ventilation systems, and meet the USP 797 requirements to review and document pressure differential results.

The Rooster™ Pressure100 room pressure monitor is typically mounted near a door in a controlled space and is compatible with standard electrical boxes. It includes a dry contact digital input which may be used with an external sensor to detect whether a door is open. Using Pressure100’s clear, intuitive software interface, users may temporarily mute pressure alarms if a “door open” condition exists. Additionally, the occupied status input permits users to change pressurization alarm setpoints to “unoccupied” levels remotely, via the building control system.

Rooster™ Pressure100’s data logging feature allows users to select the data they wish to log with options for pressure, temperature and humidity, door status, occupied status, and alarm status data. Log files are easily exported in convenient .csv format using Pressure100’s built-in USB port.

Unlike other products on the market, the Rooster™ Pressure100 affords organizations with a reliable and cost-effective way to demonstrate their commitment to safety through compliance as well as to establish compliance assurance monitoring for differential pressure. What’s more, this best-in-class pressure monitoring solution includes advanced features such as two-tiered password protection, configurable alarm behavior, instant access to system settings, and in-the-field firmware updates to future-proof your investment.
