Air velocity and temperature sensor with BACnet MS/TP communication.

The new F500 BACnet air velocity sensor from Degree Controls utilizes BACnet® MS/TP communication, the internationally accepted protocol for building automation and control networks. Designed for interoperability, F500 BACnet sensors can be connected directly to BACnet networks.

With conformal coated electronics and a sealed enclosure, the F500 BACnet continuously measures and outputs air velocity and air temperature. The F500 BACnet accepts a 24VAC or DC input and is configured to order, with a variety of velocity ranges and mechanical lengths available. Insertion mounted probes come with a convenient °C Clamp fitting for secure sensor mounting.

Measuring air velocity can have a significant impact on systems operation. Use the F500 BACnet to measure air velocity & temperature at filters, through exhaust outlets, in ducts, and after fans and blowers to keep your HVAC and other systems running in tip-top shape.

BACnet® data communication services and protocols used for monitoring and control of HVAC&R and other building systems are defined by ANSI/ASHRAE 135 and ISO 16484-5. In ASHRAE, the Standing Standard Project Committee 135 (SSPC 135) is responsible for maintaining the BACnet protocol.
