Airflow Visualization System for Sterile Environments

March 11, 2025 | Posted By: Degree Controls Inc.

Do you need an airflow visualization system to ensure proper air circulation and contamination control in critical spaces like laboratories and pharmaceutical facilities?

Airflow visualization system, °C Breeze fogger

The °C Breeze is a battery-powered, handheld fog generator that produces a smooth, steady stream of non-toxic smoke for airflow visualization studies. It is ideal for cleanroom qualification, NSF/ANSI 49 testing of fume hoods and biosafety cabinets (BSCs), and HEPA filter integrity testing.

Easy Operation

The °C Breeze operates with or without the extension tube and requires almost no warm-up time. The user can set the unit’s two side-mounted toggle switches to adjust operational preferences. Choose momentary vs latching mode and high vs low flow mode.

Nozzle Accessories

Optional °C Breeze nozzle accessories allow users to adjust fog delivery for a more accurate picture of air movement within a space:

  • The MiniFlow nozzle accessory produces a finer fog stream, perfect for hard-to-reach ingress or leakage points.
  • Designed to cast a uniform, planar fog flow, the PlanarFlow nozzle is useful for static and dynamic door tests in cleanrooms and assessment of face velocity in chemical fume hoods and biosafety cabinets.
  • For enhanced flow visualization of delicate airflow profiles in controlled environments, the FlowBulb slows fog velocity and reduces volume.

Battery-Free Operation and Remote Control Options

A dedicated power supply is available for long duration airflow visualization studies, and the wireless remote receiver/transceiver accessory allows you to activate the °C Breeze remotely.

Proactive Maintenance

Did you know that Degree Controls offers a general cleaning service for the °C Breeze fog machine? Cleaning and inspection are done with care, by our trained technicians, and battery testing is included. We suggest that this service be done on an annual basis to prolong the life of the equipment and avoid potential problems at inopportune times.

Other Applications The °C Breeze airflow visualization system is also used for applications such as HVAC systems testing, building envelope commissioning, electronics cooling design, and product and process validation.
