How to Get a Flexible Airflow Tester for Large Areas

If you need to characterize the flow of air from your fan-based products, the °C Rail multipoint airflow sensing array solution opens up new possibilities. The °C Rail is an adjustable sensor array designed to cover large footprints. Sliding-type air velocity sensors are easily repositioned within an extruded rail so that measurement locations can be easily changed, and there are no sensor cables to manage and maintain. To accommodate wide measurement ranges, 1m and 2m rail extrusions are standard. You can index the °C Rail to cover a planar area or use more than one linear array.

There are just 3 steps to getting started with your first °C Rail instrumentation system –

Step 1 – Choose a °C Rail Module

  • A °C Rail Module consists of a 1m or 2m extruded rail, wall mount power supply, and USB cable.
  • A communications hub embedded within the rail transfers digital sensor data to your PC via USB.

Step 2 – Choose Sensors

  • °C Rail sensors have choices for velocity range from 0.15 m/s to 20 m/s (30-4000 fpm) and probe length from 3” to 7”.
  • Up to 15 sensors can be installed in a single rail.

Step 3 – Choose AccuTrac Datalogging Software

  • Each sensor installed in the °C Rail requires an AccuTrac channel.
