Is sensor recalibration in your 2024 budget?

If you haven’t had your air velocity sensors recalibrated within the last 12 months, we encourage you to get that done as soon as your schedule permits. Accuracy is essential for reliable measurement data.

Degree Controls will exercise the sensor across its entire performance range while performing a true multi-point calibration. Our sensor calibrations are NIST traceable, and our calibration wind tunnels are maintained to the highest standards.

Get started with your sensor recalibration by requesting a Return Material Authorization (RMA) by emailing, or calling 1-877-334- 7332 and asking for the RMA coordinator. If “before data” is required, we can certainly perform that validation for you, and, for sensors manufactured prior to 2016, an upgrade incentive program is available.

Recalibration is typically completed within a few days of receiving the sensors. For expedited calibration services, please let us know in advance when your sensors will arrive so that we may schedule the appropriate tunnel time.

We look forward to hearing from you!

ISO 9001:2015 outlines the requirements for quality management systems for organizations. Calibration is a key point of the standard, discussed in clause 7 of monitoring and measurement resources.

Degree Controls suggests having air velocity sensors and instrumentation calibrated annually. If the measurement system is used heavily or operates in a critical safety field, you may choose to calibrate more frequently.

Unlike other calibration laboratories, Degree Controls will perform a true multi-point calibration across the sensor’s entire operating range. Third party calibration sources will only verify accuracy at one or two points; they are unable to make adjustments if they are needed.
